This Position Paper, prepared by Genome Canada’s
Child Health Genomics Working Group, looks at the critical
role that genomics can play in predicting, identifying and
enabling better long term health outcomes for children in
five key areas of impact: (1) childhood cancer, (2) neurodevelopmental
diseases, (2) auto-immune, inflammatory and allergic disease,
(3) obesity and type 2 diabetes, and (5) birth defects. The
CCCHR contributed to the development and formation of this
Position Paper. |
